Hamminkeln Place, Sedgefield, County Durham

This development of 71 houses consists of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom affordable properties in Sedgefield. In this instance all of the properties were sold prior to completion to the Local Housing Authority – Livin. The aim of this development was to bring contemporary living to the area, with a social housing scheme that has been repeatedly complimented by the local council and stakeholders alike. Hardwick are excited to share this project with the public and demonstrate that affordable housing can be designed and built to a high standard, without compromise.

Hardwick Homes purchased the site which consisted of circa 6 acres of brownfield land, in 2017. In June 2018 outline planning for 71 homes was approved. Sedgefield is a small town in County Durham with great transport links to the nearby A1 and the site is within walking distance to the town and local amenities.

This development is  in a cul de sac off Salters Lane and is the first estate HH have completed. This has now been named Hamminkeln Place and was completed in April 2022.
